Database Connection Manager

The database connection manager is a central repository of database connection details. All the database connections that you specify in the Database Connection Manager will be available to other tasks and actions that require a database connection.

Connection Type: Optitask provides a pluggable database support framework. Out of the box it supports the following databases:

·    Microsoft SQL Server
·    OleDB
·    ODBC
·    MySQL

  
Connection Name
Here you can enter the alias for the database in Optitask.
Connection String
The actual connection string that will be used for the type of database connection. You can click on the ellipsis (…) button to open the editor for creating connection strings.
